Morroco’s has launched her 2023-2024 Academic Year for kindergarten, primary, middle, and high schoolers, under the theme “Towards a quality school for all”.
The country’s Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports announced Tuesday September 5 as the commencement of classes, which is expected to end next year.
The administration personnel joined their institutions on September 1, while the teaching staff joined on September 2 as preparation for the start of classes, detailed an order the ministry issued on June 2, noting that informal education classes are expected to start on October 2.
Article 2 of the same decree under First Section also stated that studies will end in the second week of July 2024.
As usual, there will be two semesters wherein various activities and processes will take place.
Among these are the processes related to completing the requirements of the current school registration, supporting activities and consolidating the previously acquired skills, evaluations and final exams, school life and sporting activities.
Other activities include school and career orientation, school holidays, end of school year requirements and assessment, as well as preparations for the upcoming school year.
In addition to the various processes related to organizing the school year, the Decision also includes the dates of school holidays.
The regional standardized exam for the first year baccalaureate students will take place on May 29-30, 2024, while the second year baccalaureate exam, which is taken at the national scale, will be held between 3-6 June, 2024.
After completing the processes associated with the end of the school year, the teaching staff will sign the exit report on July 10.
