In a rare glimpse into his life as a father, firebrand politician Julius Malema has revealed that his two young sons, aged 7 and 6, are already displaying a keen enthusiasm for football and are beginning to engage with political discussions at home.
With South Africa’s next general elections just two months away on May 29, 2024, Julius Malema’s sons are already showing signs of being chips off the old block as the older has began to talk politics.
The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party shared these insights during an interview, remarking, “My two young boys, 7 and 6 years old, they love football and they know the world’s football history. The older one is now gradually starting to talk politics with me.”
Malema, known for his controversial and outspoken views, seemed to express paternal pride at his children’s awareness and curiosity about current affairs from a very young age.
The candid comments offered a rare personal glimpse into the home life of one of South Africa’s most prominent political figures.
As Malema leads the EFF into another heated electoral contest, his sons’ precociousness could signal they may one day follow in his outspoken footsteps.
