Grammy-winning singer, Tyla has announced that her world tour has been cancelled over ‘worsened’ injury.
Tyla’s debut world tour was scheduled to kick start in two weeks.
In a post on Instagram the South African star said: “For the past year I’ve been silently suffering with an injury that has tragically worsened.”
“I’ve seen doctors and specialists with high hopes but the pain has only become more agonising as has the severity of the situation,” she added.
She last month won a Grammy for her global hit ‘Water’. The tour was scheduled to begin her tour on 21 March in Norway’s capital, Oslo.
“I am absolutely heartbroken to have to say this but as of right now I won’t be able to proceed with the tour,” Tyla statement read.
“Words cannot describe my frustration at this pivotal point in my career. So please know that my team and I are working diligently on o spectacular show for you as soon as I am recovered and ready to return safely onstage this summer.”
Tyla has disclosed that those who bought tickets in North America will be refunded. She added that the tour dates in UK and Europe will be rescheduled.
