Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, on Monday January 16, 2023 received a solidarity delegation with the Sahrawi cause from Latin America.
The delegation was led by the President of Latin American Associations in Solidarity with the Sahrawi people Mr. Stefan Silva, accompanied by ambassadors and heads of political parties who took part in the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front.
The Latin American delegation in solidarity with the Sahrawi people, expressed its unconditional support for the Sahrawi people until they achieved freedom and independence, recalling the struggle of the peoples of Latin America against colonialism and the scourges they lived through in order to achieve victory and expel the occupier, praising the struggle of the Sahrawi people for freedom and independence.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, also valued the participation of the Latin American delegations in solidarity with the Sahrawi people in the work of the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front, praising their principled and firm solidarity and their constant advocacy on the Sahrawi issue in various parts of the world, noting that Latin American countries have always defended the right of people to self-determination.
It’s worth mentioning, that the Latin American delegations have expressed, in official speeches during the second day of the work of the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front, their continued support for the Sahrawi people and its legitimate struggle.
