Award-winning Nigerian musician Davido has announced his foundation’s successful support of more than 500 orphanages across Nigeria in 2023, pledging to continue the initiative next year.
The artist, whose real name is David Adeleke, made the announcement on social media, highlighting his commitment to philanthropic work through his foundation. This follows his established pattern of charitable giving, which gained significant attention in 2021 when he donated ₦250 million to orphanages nationwide.
“My foundation was able to help over 500 motherless babies home this year. We go again next year!” he announced.
Davido’s foundation has consistently worked to improve the lives of vulnerable children in Nigeria. The latest initiative represents a significant expansion of these efforts, reaching hundreds of care homes across the country.
The musician’s charitable work has been praised for its transparency and direct impact on beneficiary institutions. His approach to philanthropy has inspired other Nigerian celebrities to engage in similar charitable ventures.
