Benin and Vietnam have expressed intentions to strengthen their ties and bilateral cooperation.
This came from a telephone conversation on Thursday August 3, between Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, Benin’s top diplomat, and his Vietnamese counterpart, Bui Thanh Son, “24 Heures Au Benin” reports.
Adjaji Bakari indicated that his country is keen to learn Vietnam’s development plan.
Both officials also proposed the future signing of a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the area of cooperation. Both countries, according to the telephone conversation, both countries envision scrapping visa requirements and other documents for officials of both countries, in a bid to create a legal environment that will spur bilateral cooperation. In addition, both diplomats also promised to create conducive conditions to share information between companies, investors, promote trade and investment, and foster cooperation in the areas of agriculture, sciences, telecommunications, and information technology.
