The Arab Republic of Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman on Monday May 22, 2023, signed an agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Cairo.
The agreement is related to the elimination of double taxation with regard to taxes on income and the prevention and avoidance of tax evasion.
As for the MoU, it is related to cooperation in areas relevant to financial policies and developments.
They were signed by Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance on behalf of Oman’s government, and Dr. Mohamed Moait, Minister of Finance on behalf of Egypt’s government.
