Real Madrid have decided that Thibaut Courtois and Dani Ceballos will not play in ‘El Clasico’ because they are injured. However, the Spanish team will count on Antonio Rudiger, who has trained with a mask after receiving 20 stitches in the forehead.
The ability to play with a mask arrives on time for ‘El Clasico’. The German player, who saved Madrid from defeat in Warsaw with his 94th minute goal against Shakhtar, suffered a hard blow in a clash with Trubin, Shakhtar’s goalkeeper.
On Friday he trained with a protection in the Madrid training complex and this Saturday he trained with a mask to know how he feels before ‘El Clasico’.
The Real Madrid squad is uncertain. Ancelotti is keeping his eyes on the players and their conditions in order to make the squad.
Courtois will be out of action and Andriy Lunin will be his back-up. Dani Ceballos is still recovering from his injury. The rest of the squad is available for the Italian coach, who organised a training session with the players.
