Seven Ugandan entertainers have received nominations. Eddy Kenzo, King Saha, Bebe Cool, and Spice Diana scoop are the only nominated artistes while DJ Lito, DJ SlickStuart & Roja, and DJ Seven are the DJs.
Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, King Saha, and Spice Roja received nominations in different categories.
Kenzo and King Saha were nominated in the category of the Best Male Artiste in East Africa, Bebe Cool was nominated under the category of Best Ragga Dancehall for his ‘TikTok’ song featuring DJ Lito, DJ SlickStuart & Roja while Spice Diana was the only female artistes from Uganda and was nominated in the category of Best Female artiste in East Africa for her collabo song ‘Tujooge’, featuring Dj Seven.
DJ Lito scooped two nominations, Best African DJ and Best Artiste, duo or group in African Ragga and Dancehall category. Tick Talk featuring Bebe Cool, Dj Slick Stuart, and Roja is the song that is responsible for this nod.
Dj Lito won’t get it easy since he will be battling for the award against top African Djs like DJ Snake, DJ Snake, and Major League DJs among others.
After sharing the news to his fans on his social media, he was immediately congratulated by other DJs and artistes like Eddy Kenzo, DVJ Mercy Pro, and Roja among others
The awards ceremony will be held from Thursday, November 3 to Saturday, November 6, 2022. It will feature a 3-day fiesta of music, glitz, and glamour.
