Standard Chartered, in collaboration with Strathmore Business School, has announced the selection of 15 startups for the Women in Tech Incubation program. These start ups, led by women, will participate in a 12-week business incubation aimed at nurturing their growth and development.
The Women in Tech programme is part of Standard Chartered’s Futuremakers initiative, which seeks to address social inequality among disadvantaged young individuals, particularly focusing on girls and persons with disabilities. The initiative empowers the next generation by emphasizing education, employability, and entrepreneurship.
The 6th cohort of the selected women-led start ups will benefit from mentorship, with seven of them also receiving a $10,000 seed funding award. This support aims to assist start ups in refining their business models and strategies effectively.
