Burna Boy’s Love Damini tour kicked off officially as thousands turned out for the first stop in Barbados.
To the crowd of more than 9,000 patrons at Tipsy/Love Damini Tour, less than 24 hours after his performance, he tweeted: “Thank you Barbados.
His attendance at the festival makes him the first Afropop star and international act to perform at Tipsy Barbados.
Burna Boy who in a recent interview dubbed his sound as “Afro-fusion”: a mixture of sounds from the continent along with global strains of hip-hop, EDM, and pop and is widely known for international hits like “Ye,” “On The Low,” “Kilometre,” and “B. d’Or”.
Last Last was released in 2022 ahead of his album “Love, Damani.”
The track which was produced by Chopstix features a sample of Toni Braxton’s 2000 R&B hit, “He Wasn’t Man Enough.”
The Afro-fusion artist also shared a music video for the single, which he self-directed.
The clip was shot at his home, among other hand-picked locations. The vibe-y, mid-tempo song finds Burna Boy reflecting on past relationships before ultimately concluding everything will be okay, Rollingstone reports.
After his performance, the singer was spotted hanging out with the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley.
The 12 minutes video was sighted on the Twitter handle of Japheth Joshua Omojuwa, a Nigerian author and political commentator.
In the video, Burna Boy was seen hugging Mottley while they both shared pleasantries.
