The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has successfully concluded its Young Reporters Programme in Accra, Ghana, coinciding with the third day of the CAF African Schools Football Championship.
The initiative, one of seven CAF Capacity Building programmes, continues to receive vital support from Canal+. The partnership will enable four outstanding graduates to secure internships at the French media giant next year.
Designed to advance CAF’s vision of globally competitive and self-sustaining African football, the programme equips emerging media talents with hands-on international experience and professional guidance necessary to craft authentic African football narratives.

CAF Communications Director Luxolo September attended the closing day, engaging directly with participants while sharing industry knowledge and encouragement.
“This programme is about more than just journalism—it’s about telling the African story through African voices,” said September. “We are proud to continue working with Canal+ to offer these young individuals a pathway into the professional world. These are the storytellers of tomorrow, and CAF is committed to supporting them every step of the way.”
The Young Reporters Programme stands as a cornerstone of CAF’s youth development strategy, aiming to nurture a new generation of storytellers dedicated to showcasing Africa’s football talent and unique sporting culture.
CAF has indicated that additional information regarding the Canal+ internship selection process will be provided in the coming weeks.
