Ethiopian Minister Abiy Ahmed has underscored the critical importance of private sector productivity in Ethiopia’s national industrialization strategy, pointing to two significant industrial enterprises as emblematic of the country’s economic transformation.
It comes after visiting large-scale industries that are driving the Made in Ethiopia movement.
Speaking after visiting key industrial sites, the Prime Minister highlighted AMG Holdings Industry Park and Andinet Glass Technology as prime examples of the nation’s industrial ambition.
“Local private sector productivity plays a crucial role in achieving our national industrialization goals and strengthening our economy,” he said.
“Today, I visited large-scale industries that are driving the Made in Ethiopia movement. AMG Holdings Industry Park, which specializes in value-added coffee exports and steel production, and Andinet Glass Technology, known for its glass and aluminum works, are commendable examples of the private sector’s contribution to industrial expansion.”
