Ghana’s police says it has arrested four persons in connection with a shooting incident at a fuel station in Ablekuma, a suburb of the capital Accra, where an officer escorting a bullion van was shot dead multiple times.
The police in a statement on Sunday said: “Four people of interest have so far been arrested in connection with the Ablekuma bullion van robbery, including one of the suspects who was arrested yesterday”.

“The four are in custody assisting police investigation. Further details will be communicated in due course”, it added.
On June 21, a police officer attached to a bullion van was attacked and killed by arm robbers.
In a CCTV footage, the robbers were seen leaving the scene after shooting the officer multiple times. They took away his gun and a bag in the car.
The robbers left after the operation with two motorbikes.
