There have been various security systems in place as Ghana prepares to welcome the United States of America’s vice president on Sunday Afternoon.
H. E Kamala Harris arrived in Ghana on the 26th of March 2023.
The Police and military are on high alert with the help of officers from the United States at the Kotoka International Airpot (KIA).
The Vice President of US is set to embark on a visit to three African countries this month, making it her first trip to Africa since taking office. From March 25 to April 2, 2023, Kamala will visit Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia.
“I believe that the creativity and ingenuity of Africa’s young leaders will help us shape the future of the world. I made this clear in December at the US-Africa Leaders Summit, and I look forward to my upcoming travel to Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia,” she said on Tuesday.
The Africa trip visit is said to be part of President Joe Biden’s administration’s efforts to strengthen partnerships throughout Africa.
“This will also advance our shared efforts on security and economic prosperity,” Kamala added.
