The Chinese Embassy in Kenya has called on the government of the country to intervene and protect Chinese enterprises and Chinese citizens amid the unfolding controvesy around the China Square.
The Embassy issued a statement on Thursday evening in which it noted that a conducive environment would bolster China-Kenya relations for the benefit of both countries.
Chinese nationals conducting business in the East African country have been further urged to operate within Kenyan laws and regulations.
This comes a day after China’s Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, Wu Peng, called for the creation of a non-arbitrary and non-discriminatory investment environment between the two nations.
