Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has claimed he turned down a multi-million offer from unknown people to drop his political bid.
While addressing his supporters during his second visit to the western Kenya region, Wajackoyah said that some individuals were out to lock him out of the presidential race for fear of his growing popularity.
“You will see them come here dressed in suits with stolen money. The other day they tried to offer me KSh 200 million to join their camp, but I refused,” Wajackoyah said.
In a viral video, Wajackoyah claimed those making the offer had felt threatened by his presidential bid.
He, however, did not disclose who made the offer or when it was made.
According to Wajackoyah, he turned down the offer because his bid is unstoppable. “I looked at them and told them I am the most learned man in Africa and I cannot be compromised. I have worked in higher places like United Kingdom and I cannot betray the trust of the people,” Wajackoya explained.
TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that Wajackoyah appointed Omar Lali among his coordinators in various capacities.

Lali, who burst into the national limelight following the demise of Keroche heiress Tecra Mungai would be coordinating beach boys across the country.
In a state meant released by his running mate Justina Wamae, Wajackoyah recognised beach boys for their contribution to the tourism sector.
Wajackoya pointed out that beach boys offered a myriad of services such as lengthy tours of the coastline and the marine parks. “I have today appointed Omar Lali as Roots Party Coordinator of Beach Boys Association country wide. Beach boys spur up the tourism economy as they are guides offering lengthy tours of the coastline and the marine parks. Others sell African souvenirs such as khangas, Maasai sandals and beadwork. Some of these traders display their wares along the sandy stretch,”said Wajackoyah.
Wajackoyah further stated that Omar is a strategic partnership that brought on board the beach boys’ vote which has been for the years been overlooked by subsequent governments.
He added that his party was excited and looking forward to the benefits of their newfound relationship.
