The Kenyan government has announced plans to expand a vital water project in Nandi Hills, aiming to increase access for thousands of households.
President [Name] said the Nandi Hills Water Project would grow tenfold over the next three years.
The scheme currently provides 250,000 litres of water daily to 1,000 households in the region.
He was there to officially open the existing water project, which has been serving the area.
“The Nandi Hills Water Project, currently supplying 250,000 litres of water a day to 1,000 households, will be expanded so as to benefit at least 10,000 in three years,” he said
“In Kipsebwa, Nandi Hills Constituency, commissioned the Nandi Hills Water Project.”
Nandi Hills, located in Kenya’s Rift Valley, has long faced challenges with water access. The government hopes this initiative will significantly improve living conditions for residents.
Local officials welcomed the announcement, saying it would boost development in the region.
The project’s expansion is set to begin immediately, with completion expected by 2027.
