Beyonce Knowles is reportedly preparing something big for her fans. If a new report is to be believed, the pop star is set to take her new album, “Renaissance”, on the road with a stadium tour.
A source reveals to Page Six that the “Cuff It” singer is booking stadiums around the world for the summer of 2023. Another insider, meanwhile, claims that the official announcement of the tour will be made in the coming weeks.
Representative of the “Lemonade” hitmaker doesn’t respond to request for comment regarding the report.
Released in July, “Renaissance” has been dominating not only streaming services but also nightclubs. Of the studio effort, Queen Bey previously described it as the first part of a “three-act project” that she worked on throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Creating [‘Renaissance’] allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world,” the Grammy-winning superstar wrote on Instagram back in June alongside an album art of “Renaissance”. “It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving.”
The wife of Jay-Z went on to note, “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”

Despite the album’s massive success, it earned Beyonce backlash as it featured an ableist slur on “Heated”, one of the songs in the album. In the track, which was co-written by rapper Drake, the singer used a derogatory term for spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, in the lines, “Spazzing on that a**, spaz on that a**.” In response to the criticism, a representative for the musician told Insider on August 1, the lyric would be changed, saying, “The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced.”
Meanwhile, the last time Beyonce hit the road was in the summer and fall of 2018 with her husband Jay-Z to promote their joint album, “Everything Is Love”. The “Love on Top” hitmaker has not hit the road as a solo act since her critically-acclaimed “Formation” world tour in 2016.
