Vice President of El Salvador Félix Ulloa has affirmed that Morocco is a strategic partner of his country in Africa and the Arab world.
In a statement to Diario El Salvador, Mr. Ulloa said Rabat and San Salvador are working continuously to consolidate the bonds of friendship and cooperation through the exchange visits, permanent consultations and coordination in international issues of common interests.
Last October, El Salvador opened an embassy in Rabat, the first in the African continent, said the Vice-President, noting that move shows his country’s strong desire to advance relations with Morocco, a model of South-South cooperation, setting a bridge between Africa and Latin America.
He also recalled his country’s decision of withdrawing in 2019 recognition of self-proclaimed “SADR”, a decision which demonstrates El Salvador’s firm support of Morocco’s territorial integrity and willingness to build strong and mutually beneficial relations with the North African Kingdom.
The Vice-President also voiced his country’s desire to strengthen cooperation ties with Morocco, especially in the fields of agriculture, fishing, renewable energies and security.
