Kuwait Airways announced the appointment of AGP, a global airline representation network, as its online General Sales Agent in Morocco.
Through the agreement, APG will work to help provide the airline with different services, including sales and marketing activities. The agreement also includes reservations and ticketing services.
APG Network President Richard Burgess recalled how Kuwait Airways launched a route to serve the Casablanca airport in June 2022.
He stressed that the company is “delighted to be representing Kuwait Airways in Morocco and are very excited to be involved in the launch of the airline’s new flights to Casablanca.”
Commenting on the APG’s new services in Morocco, the company’s president stressed that the network sales team in Morocco “sees great opportunity for the new flights not only to Kuwait but also to onward destinations throughout the impressive network offered by Kuwait Airways.”
Khalid Al-Bustan, Director of Corporate Communication, Public Relations and Marketing at Kuwait Airways also commented on the company’s flights to Casablanca, describing the destination as”important” to Kuwait Airways’ customers.
“Choosing Casablanca as a destination complements the plans developed by Kuwait Airways to expand its network of routes around the world and to new and preferred markets that meet the aspirations and requirements of its customers,” he added, noting that the selection of Casablanca as a destination came after “extensive and systematic research” of feasibility and profitability.
During the launch of Kuwait Airways’ first direct flights to Casablanca last year, the company’s CEO Maen Razouqi stressed that the new line will serve Kuwaiti and Moroccan citizens residing in the Gulf country wishing to travel, visit, or even invest in the city of Casablanca.
“The newly established direct flights seek to boost economic and tourist exchanges between the two countries,” he added.
Around 18,500 Kuwaiti tourists visit Morocco annually, representing 9.3% of the total Middle Eastern visitors to the North African country, the Kuwaiti embassy said last year.
