The Atlanta Chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected Dr. Ali Yallah as its new Chairman, bringing on board years of experience and leadership to steer the Chapter forward.
Dr. Yallah was elected unopposed, reflecting the overwhelming confidence and unity of Chapter members behind his leadership, as the Chapter enters a new era focused on participation, collaboration, and renewed commitment to the party’s mission.
The process was supervised by Electoral Commissioner Nana Agyeman, with Rashard Abdulai and other party representatives present to confirm the outcome and ensure a transparent process.
Dr. Yallah will lead a new executive team made up of Yvonne Kofigah as Secretary, Aziz Tanko as Youth Organizer, Naomi Nyarko-Kusi as Women’s Organizer, Zubaidah Osekere as Communications Secretary, and Michael Kwofie as Executive Member. Godfred Amponsah will continue in his role as Chapter Organizer.
In his remarks after his election, Dr. Yallah thanked members for the trust reposed in him and pledged to build on the accomplishments of previous administrations.
He called for greater participation, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness, urging the executive team and Chapter members to work collectively toward a stronger, more inclusive, and forward-looking organization.
Outgoing Chairman Alhaji Musah congratulated Dr. Yallah and the incoming executives, encouraging them to uphold the values of unity, dedication, and service that have guided the Chapter.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and sustained engagement in strengthening the NDC’s presence within the Ghanaian diaspora.
Dr. Yallah brings to the role a wealth of professional experience, alongside an executive team with backgrounds spanning information technology, cybersecurity, healthcare, entrepreneurship, engineering, logistics, and community development — expertise expected to boost membership engagement, youth and women’s participation, communications, and organizational development.
Members say his unopposed victory signals a renewed spirit of solidarity and optimism, as the Chapter looks to deepen its connection with the wider Ghanaian community in Atlanta and support the broader mission of the NDC.
