Black Stars forward Inaki Williams shared that his teammates have affectionately nicknamed him ‘Kwaku the Baller’ following his inaugural goal for Ghana.
Williams, who plays for Athletic Club, secured a dramatic 95th-minute victory for the Black Stars in their first 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday.
Despite facing an 11-game goal drought for Ghana, Williams delivered a crucial goal when it mattered most.
Expressing his joy after the game, Williams mentioned, “All my teammates are calling me ‘Kwaku the Baller.’ I’m so happy. Gideon Mensah put in a good cross, and I scored the goal. I’m so happy.”
