Serbia-based Black Stars trio Samuel Owusu, Edmund Addo and Osman Bukari joined some Ghanaian resident in Serbia to chear the Black Starlets as the nine-man Ghanaian youth side fought hard to beat Spain by 3-2 in their second game of the UEFA U16 Development Tournament.
Black Starlets are in Serbia for a four nation UEFA development U-16 tournament and it was a great scene as the Black Star Trio made their presence felt at the municipality of Stara Pazova.
They cheered them on from the stands and joined them to celebrate the victory in the game that ended in five goal thriller.
Ghana came from behind to brush of the Spanish side in a scintillating fashion despite losing two of their players to red cards.
The Spanish scored in the opening minutes of the game and went ahead to restore their lead after Ghana had equalised.
But it was Karim Zito’s boys who would fight harder to clinch victory with a brace from Benjamin Tsivanyo and a Peter Hammond strike.
Saturday’s victory leaves Ghana unbeaten in the four nation tournament as Tsivanyo leading the goal king chat with five, having grabbed a hatrick in the opening game against Serbia.
The tournament which kicked off on Thursday, April 13, 2023 features countries like Serbia, Switzerland, Spain and Ghana.
Ghana will next face Switzerland in their final game while Spain, who began the tournament with a 2-2 draw against the Swiss will engage Serbia in their last match.
