Burkina Faso have become the first team to book their place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco after a 2-0 victory over Burundi on Sunday.
The Stallions secured qualification with their fourth straight win in Group L, courtesy of goals from Mohamed Konate and Bertrand Traore.
Saudi Arabia-based Konate opened the scoring in the fifth minute, before Traore converted a penalty four minutes into stoppage time.
Both qualifiers against Burundi were held in Ivory Coast due to a lack of international-standard stadiums in the two countries.

Burkina Faso’s impressive qualifying campaign comes after a disappointing last-16 exit from the 2023 AFCON.
Under new coach Brama Traore, the team has earned 10 points from four matches, including a draw with Senegal and wins over Malawi and Burundi.
Senegal could join Burkina Faso in qualifying if they defeat Malawi on Tuesday.
The remaining 15 qualifiers are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, with the final two matchdays set for November.
Morocco, as hosts, have automatic qualification but are participating in the qualifying competition for match experience.
