Head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin announced on Friday that Alphabet Inc.’s Google will be banned from the territory as it allegedly promotes terrorism and violence against Russians, particularly those in Moscow, in the wake of Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine.
Writing in a post on Telegram, Pushilin remarked Google will be welcome back when it “stops pursuing its criminal policy and returns to the mainstream of law, morality and common sense.”
Unlike numerous companies, Google announced its intention to remain present in Russia despite the conflict in Ukraine.
