Vice President Kashim Shettima led a federal government delegation to Maiduguri today for the funeral of Alhaji Tijani Muhammad, father of Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno.
Alhaji Muhammad, whose son represents the Borno North Senatorial District, was laid to rest in a ceremony attended by high-ranking government officials and local dignitaries.
The Vice President’s presence underscores the federal government’s respect for the late Alhaji Muhammad and recognition of Senator Monguno’s position in the national legislature.
