In a tragic incident that occurred in Rwanda, a fire outbreak gutted a commercial building adjacent to Musanze taxi park on the morning of November 20, according to a report by The New Times.
The commercial building, located in the heart of Musanze, fell victim to an intense fire that rapidly spread throughout the structure.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick plumes of smoke emerging from the building, followed by fierce flames that quickly consumed multiple floors.
Hamiss Bizimana, the Mayor of Musanze District, confirmed the incident, noting that the commercial building suffered damage, but the fire has been successfully extinguished by the Police Fire Brigade.
“The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined as the investigation is still ongoing,” he added.
Bizimana further noted that the authorities are conducting post-fire recovery efforts to support the affected individuals.
