Four Black Stars players have pulled out of Ghana’s double friendly against Mexico and the US after suffering injuries, the Ghana Football Association has reported.
Tariq Lamptey, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku and Osman Bukari will no longer be part of the squad as Ghana faces the two countries to be hoisted in the US.
It came just when the team began its first training at Charlotte FC training facility in the US on Tuesday.
Their exit means Coach Chris Hughton will now have to deal with 22 players instead of the initial 23 as the injured quartet has been replaced by Kingsley Schindler, Jerome Opoku, and Stephen Ambrosius, with 19 players reporting to camp.
Ghana will face the Mexicans on Saturday, October 14, three days before playing the US at the GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday.
