Ghana international, Lawrence Ati Zigi has been adjudged Switzerland Super League best player for the first round of the season as a result of his impressive performance for FC ST Gallen.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup goalie was rated highly in the period under review which saw him voted as the Best Player.
The 26-year old lanky goalkeeper made an incredible 58 saves in the first round, a display which gave him upper hand over competitors David Douline (Servette FC), Valon Fazlu (FC Aarau), Cedric Itten (FC Young Boys) and Koro Kone (Yverdon FC).
ATI Zigi who was the Black Stars first choice goalie at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, is expected to maintain his fine form when the Swiss Super League resumes on January 23, 2023.
