The Tertiary Education Workers Union (TEWU) branch of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has threatened to embark on an industrial action over unpaid contributions.
Charles Arthur, chairman of the KNUST TEWU branch in an interview with Accra-based Metro Tv announced on Sunday, July 2.
He said the University has refused to release their contribution to them, which is calling for this strike.
He emphasized that if their contributions are not released to them, they will start a strike to express their dissatisfaction.
The chairman said the University will commence its Mid-Semester examination on Monday so they will wait till the end, if their contributions are not released then they will start the intended strike action.
The TEWU chairman said they will approach the accountant of the University and if their monies are not released then the strike action will kick off.
