An Unknown gunmen in Nigeria have kidnapped four students from a house in the university town of Keffi, in central Nasarawa state, police said on Tuesday.
According to Nasarawa police spokesperson Rahman Nansel, the police received a distress call at about 01:55 GMT on Tuesday after armed men invaded a house in Angwan Kaare community and responded with the military, but the kidnappers had already fled with their victims.
“The Commissioner of Police has ordered a manhunt for the culprits with a view to rescue the four victims unhurt,” Nansel said in a statement as quoted by Reuters.

Nigerian news website, Punch reports that names of the kidnapped students are Rahila Hanya, a 100-level student of the Science Laboratory Technology department; Josephine Gershon, a Computer Science 100-level student; Rosemary Samuel, a 100-level student of Business Administration; and Goodness Samuel, a 100 level student of the Geography department.
Kidnapping that mostly demands for ransom is part of widespread insecurity that crippled Nigeria.
