Ghanaian Rapper Black Sherif has been nominated for an award in the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) show.
The ‘Soja’ hitmaker is nominated for the Best African Act award.
He is competing against three of Nigeria’s stars, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr and Tems for the award. Also in the race are Tanzania’s Zuchu and South Africa’s Musa Keyss.
This is Black Sherif’s second international nomination in an award scheme. About a month ago he secured a spot in the 2022 BET Awards.
He was nominated in the coveted Best International Flow category but he lost the award to France’s Benjamin Epps.
Meanwhile, the 2022 MTV EMA is expected to take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, at the multi-functional indoor arena PSD Bank Dome.
Harry Styles leads the pack with seven nominations, including Best Artist, Best Song and Best Video. Following Styles with six nominations is Taylor Swift.
