Moroccan footballer Hakim Ziyech expressed satisfaction with his move to Turkish Club Galatasaray.
Describing it as Turkey’s biggest club, Ziyech said he is excited for the new adventures, adding that he cannot wait to play with Galatasaray.
“I want to leave a mark like other great football players, who have been successful in the club’s history,” he said.
Expressing optimism for the future, Ziyech said that a “great and long season” is awaiting the club, noting that his goal is to enjoy it.
“We will give all our strength to be successful,” he added.
Galatasaray officialized a transfer deal with Chelsea, signing Ziyech on a loan agreement.
The club paid 3.6 million euros as a loan fee. By the end of the season, the Turkish club has to pay another 2.8 million euros if they decide to make the transfer permanent.
Ziyech received a warm welcome in Istanbul on Saturday night, with an attendance of 50,000 football fans welcoming him at the team’s home stadium.
The signing came after claims and rumors suggesting that the Atlas Lion failed his medical exam.
Erden Timur, Galatasaray’s deputy chairman, refuted claims that the player failed his medical.
“ We are aiming for another championship in the league and reaching the quarter-finals in the Champions League,” he said.
