The organisation behind African Legends Night has revealed its first-ever Music Legends Hall of Fame list to honour African music greats as part of events to mark 10 years of celebrating African music.
The African Legends Night is a premier pan-African performance that honours and celebrates living legends of the African music genre.
The renowned musicians who have played at the African Legends Night are inducted into the Legends Hall of Fame every year.
Some of the nominees are Daddy Lumba, Femi Kuti, Samini, and 17 others.
The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognise and honour the accomplishments as well as significant turning points in the careers of music legends who have consistently excelled over a long period of time.
The 20 legends were picked from countries including Ghana, the Ivory Coast, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, and South Africa.
This year’s African Legends Night is supported by HD Plus, Ghana Gas, the Ghana Tourism Board, Beyond the Return, Perception Management International, and Silverbird Cinemas.
Media partners include MX24, ETV, Citi FM, YFM, B&FT, Happy FM, the Daily Guide, Ghanaweb, Ameyaw Deborah, NYDJ Live, Oman FM, and Net2 TV.
