Intelligent Card Production Systems Limited (ICPS), a subsidiary of Margins ID Group Company Limited, hosted key stakeholders for a comprehensive tour of its card manufacturing facility in Accra on Tuesday, 6 August.
The event, aimed at fostering transparency and collaboration, welcomed representatives from the National Identification Authority (NIA), various departments under the Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation, and members of the media.
Moses K. Baiden, CEO of Margins ID Group, personally guided the tour, offering insights into the complex technological processes involved in card production, including the manufacturing of Ghana Cards.
Of particular interest was the production of these crucial national identification documents, as ICPS is the company responsible for their manufacture.
“Our aim today is to provide transparency and demonstrate the advanced technology and rigorous standards we employ in creating secure identification solutions for Ghana,” Mr Baidoo explained.
“You have all seen the level of security and precision in the production of Ghana Cards firsthand. It’s evident that we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in our operations.”
He also highlighted that they manufacture digitalised certificates, expanding on the company’s role in Ghana’s digital transformation.
The tour showcased ICPS’s ISO 9001-2015 certified facility, which boasts of an impressive production capacity of over 60 million cards annually.
Stakeholders were given a step-by-step overview of the card creation process, from initial design through to final quality checks.
The company highlighted its capabilities in producing a wide range of secure plastic cards, including those with magnetic stripes, smart-contact and contactless features, and dual interfaces. They also demonstrated their milling and embedding processes for modules on cards, tokens, and documents.
The tour emphasised ICPS’s readiness for international certifications such as Europay-MasterCard-Visa (EMV) and SAS (GSM), positioning them as a significant player not only in national identification projects but also in the broader financial and telecommunications sectors.
Media attendees showed particular interest in the scratch card and label production areas, as well as the process for creating digitalised certificates, recognising the diverse applications of the company’s technology beyond government-issued IDs.
Baiden also addressed questions regarding data security and production efficiency. He underscored their commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in secure identification solutions, emphasising the critical role they play in Ghana’s digital infrastructure.

Tuesday’s stakeholder engagement at company’s facility at Spintex, marks a significant step in ICPS’s efforts to build trust and demonstrate its technological capabilities to key decision-makers in Ghana’s digital identity landscape, as the country continues to advance its digitalisation agenda.
