Kim Kardashian was among celebrities who celebrated Father’s Day. The SKIMS founder made use of her Instagram account to pay tribute to the dads in her life, only to apparently snub ex-husband Kanye West.
On Monday, June 19, Kim shared some throwback pictures featuring her late dad Robert Kardashian and step-parent Caitlyn Jenner throughout her life. In one of the photos, Robert, who passed away in 2003 after a battle with esophageal cancer, could be seen flashing a cheerful smile as he held both Kim and older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, in his arms.
Some other pictures had her and her siblings, Kourtney, Khloe Kardashian and Rob Kardashian, posing for a family photo alongside mom Kris Jenner and Caitlyn. A polaroid photo was also added into the Instagram carousel, showing Robert dressed to the nines in a black tuxedo as he posed next to Kim and Kourtney when they were older.
Kim also shared another picture from the same event, this time posing with Caitlyn. “Best to ever do it! I wouldn’t be me if it weren’t for you two. Thank you. Happy Fathers Day,” the 42-year-old wrote in the caption.
Caitlyn and her sister Kendall Jenner responded to the tribute in the comments section. “@kimkardashian love you,” the former Olympian wrote, while Kendall left a heart emoji in the comment.
Kim, however, didn’t include Ye, with whom she shares her four kids, North, Chicago, Reign and Psalm. The former couple tied the knot in 2014, with their divorce being officially finalized late last year in November 2022.
In season 3 premiere of “The Kardashians”, Kim got emotional while discussing the embattled rapper’s erratic behavior on social media. In one scene, her mom Kris commented on Kim’s psoriasis rash on her leg. Kim replied, “Tell the father of my children to stop acting up, and then I won’t stress out and get psoriasis.”
The episode also saw Kim having a more emotional conversation with Kris about having a lengthy “anxiety attack.” She shared, “I felt like I couldn’t breathe all day.”
The KKW Beauty founder went on to talk about Ye’s online attacks on her family. “I never comment. I never post. He has made up the most insane narrative about you [Kris], the [sex] tape, and we stay silent, we stay silent through all the lies, all the stuff,” the reality TV star added, “I think at this point I just assume that everything I text Kanye is going to be put on the Internet.”
