Ghana and AFC Ajax Amsterdam star boy Mohammed Kudus’ spectacular performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup has attracted interest from many clubs.
It was reported last week by Sportsworldghana.com that Liverpool and German giant Bayern Munich were scouting the Ghanaian International.
Other reports that have emerged today suggest that Spanish giant FC Barcelona are seriously keen to secure the former FC Nordjaelland attacking midfielder ‘s signature.
Barcelona director of sports Jordi Cruyff has confirmed the club’s interest in Dutch Eredivisie giant AFC Ajax Amsterdam star player Kudus Mohammed.
He says the club has been following the Ghanaian International for the past one year following his rapid rise to stardom.
Cruyff said: “We’ve been tracking Mohammed Kudus for more than one year. We can’t say now that Barça want Kudus… but he’s attracting interest.”
”He’s scoring goals and in Holland they discuss a lot about his position, so yes – I know him well”.[via RAC 1].
The 21-year-old left-footed Ghanaian young midfielder has scored four goals in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League competition for the Dutch Eredivisie club.
Kudus has also found the back of the net for his team five times in the Dutch Eredivisie in the Netherlands and has four assists to his name in all competitions.
Kudus has two goals and one assist in his first two games for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
