The Premier League club has enquired about the price that the Spanish club would like for its top scorer this season.
The Magpies have been looking to build a competitive team in anticipation for next season’s UEFA Champions League, and they see En-Nesyri as an ideal candidate to reinforce their forward line.
West Ham United is another Premier League club pursuing the striker, keen to strengthen their forward line in preparation for their upcoming Europa League campaign.
En-Nesyri scored 18 goals in all competitions for the Sevilla FC, helping them to win their seventh Europa League title and his second one.
The Atlas Lion finished as the club’s top scorer in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Europa League.
The 26-year-old Moroccan player also plays for the Moroccan national team and impressed at the World Cup in Qatar by scoring two goals: one against Belgium and the other against Portugal, qualifying his team to the semi-finals.
He won La Liga’s player of the month award for April, further cementing his place as one of the best players in the league.
