Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has revealed two significant international friendlies for the Super Eagles against Ghana’s Black Stars and Mali’s Les Aigles.
Initially slated to face Argentina and El Salvador in the United States of America, logistical issues led to a change in plans.
Instead, the Super Eagles will reignite age-old rivalries with Ghana and Mali in matches set to be held in Marrakech, Morocco.
Scheduled for Friday, March 22nd, and Tuesday, March 26th, the encounters carry historical weight, particularly the showdown with Ghana’s Black Stars.
The rivalry dates back 73 years, with the last meeting in March 2022 resulting in a closely contested draw during a FIFA World Cup play-off.
