Barcelona has finally announced that they have reached an agreement with Club Athletico Paranaense for the transfer of Victor Hugo Roque Ferreira, better known as Victor Roque.
The striker will stay at Barça for seven years starting from January 2024.
The Brazilian striker is very important for Paranaense and will play for them until the end of the Brazilian season in December.
According to several Spanish media outlets, the Camp Nou outfit will pay 30 million euros for the young starlet and another 30 million euros in bonuses, i.e. if certain objectives stipulated in the contract are met.
“The player is expected to join the Club for the 2024/25 season and will sign a contract until the 2030/31 season with a buy-out clause of 500 million euros,” the club statement read.
The young Brazilian is undoubtedly one of La Liga’s hopes, as is Palmeiras youngster Endrick, who signed for Real Madrid and will join ‘Los Blancos’ in the 2024/2025 season when he comes of age. La Liga could return to the impact it has had in the past with this new battle between the two Brazilian stars.
At just 18 years of age, Vitor Roque has made more than 50 league appearances.
