Ghana put up a marvelous performance on Monday afternoon as they defeated South Korea by three goals to two at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

A pillar at the back, scores Ghana’s opener and was very efficient
–Daniel Amartey 7.5
Was very solid, went for all the crunch tackles as Salisu acted as the sweeper
–Salis Samed 6.5
Had another decent game in defensive midfield. Shielded the back four so we’ll
–Thomas Partey 5 His influence was once again minimal as Salis did all the work
–Mohammed Kudus 9
By far the best player in the Ghana team, scored two sublime goals and was too hot for Korea to handle
–Jordan Ayew 8.5
Provided two assists. Was efficient with his dead balls and crosses from the wings. It was difficult for the South Koreans to handle him

Had a quiet game but was very useful in the final 15 minutes of the game with his good hold up play

Had another good game, enjoyed a free role in the Ghana midfield

His experience was needed very much at the time Ghana was leading and the South Koreans were threatening to equalize. Did well with some quality tackles

Replaced injured Gideon Mensah in extra time and cleared a goal bound shot with his head to deny Korea the equalizer

Did not see much of the ball when he came into the game in the 77th minute

He made some surging runs and also tracked back to defend

Brought stability to the back as Ghana decided to play five.
