Ghana’s Black Stars suffered another defeat to Uruguay in their last group-stage match on Friday evening.
Ghanaian captain Adre Dede Ayew missed a penalty in the first half of the match when Mohammed Kudus was brought down by the Uruguayan goalkeeper.
Ghana’s legend Asamoah Gyan has said that the Ghanaian tactician Otto Addo got his tactics wrong in the first half.
Gyan lamented that the Ghanaian players did not show any form of seriousness in the game.
He added that the team played very well in the first game against Portugal despite losing 3-2, “Ghanaians well very happy with how they played in the first and second game”.
The former Ghanaian captain who was a pundit on Super sport said, it was normal for Ayew to miss a penalty in such a tournament, “I have been there before… I know how it feels to miss a penalty, I feel story for him”.
Ghana and Uruguay have failed to progress to the knockout phase of the 2022 World Cup despite the South Americans beating the African side 2-0 in their final group H match at the Al- Janoub stadium on Friday.
