Optimism is the word on the lips of every member of the Masandawana family in their bid to eliminate Esperance Sportive de Tunis to progress to the finals of the CAF Champions League.
Head coach Rulani Mokwena sounded positive in his pre-match conference for the second leg of the semi-finals against the Tunisian giants Esperance.
“We know that we can overturn the first leg (0–1) result and the good thing is that we are playing at home in front of our fans tomorrow. We are excited and looking forward to the game,” said Mokwena.
Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria will be painted yellow as fans are gearing up to support Mamelodi Sundowns. Rulani Mokwena believes the fans will surely ginger the lads to deliver.
Esperance looks like the favourite to qualify for the finals because they have a huge advantage with the 1-0 win in the first leg. The Tunisians are not minnows and can never be underestimated because of how strong they look defensively.
The game is scheduled to take place at 6 pm in Pretoria.
