President Paul Kagame was present as the guest of honor at the inauguration ceremony for the new “Radiant Building” headquarters of Radiant Insurance Company in Rwanda’s capital Kigali today.
In a statement released by his office, President Kagame announced that he joined Radiant’s Founder and Managing Director Marc Rugenera, Board Chairperson Francois Régis Kabaka, as well as other shareholders for the launch of the company’s flagship facility.
The multi-story Radiant Building is the culmination of a major investment by one of Rwanda’s largest insurers. Its opening ceremony was attended by senior government officials along with representatives from the financial services industry.
Founded in 2004, Radiant Insurance offers a comprehensive suite of general and life insurance products to businesses and individuals across Rwanda. The company has expanded rapidly in recent years, achieving double-digit percentage growth in premiums written annually.
In his remarks, President Kagame hailed Radiant’s new building as “a vote of confidence” in Rwanda’s economic progress and development of the financial services sector. He commended the company’s embrace of digitalization to better serve its clients nationwide.
The launch of the Radiant Building follows Kagame’s government prioritizing insurance industry reforms and public-private partnerships to facilitate greater risk transfer and protection solutions.
