The Rwandan Cabinet has unanimously endorsed an air service deal with an impressive roster of countries across the world.

The Cabinet adopted on Friday, October 20, drafted laws approving the ratification of bilateral air services agreements signed between the Government of Rwanda and 15 countries in Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
The countries are Guinea-Bissau, Antigua and Barbuda, Austria, Bangladesh, Barbados, Colombia, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Latvia, the Maldives, Malta, Mauritania, New Zealand, Saint Lucia, and Venezuela.
Rwanda has signed Bilateral Air Services Agreements (BASAs) with 107 countries—49 in Africa, 24 in Europe, 19 in the Middle East and Asia, and 15 in the Americas.
In 2020, the Ministry of Infrastructure indicated that signing the BASAs would be a continuous process meant to strengthen cooperation, trade relations, and the tourism sector.
With this air service deal, Rwanda aims to bolster existing diplomatic relationships and establish new ones, opening doors to numerous opportunities. By expanding its global network, Rwanda seeks to promote trade, tourism, cultural exchange, and economic growth while also strengthening people-to-people connections across borders.
