According to sports news outlet L’Equipe, Saudi club Al Ahli intend to submit an offer for Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat very shortly.
This comes at a time when Manchester United also plan to have Amrabat join their team.
The midfielder is still a member of the Fiorentina team, although he wants to complete a transfer this summer.
Al-Ahli may take advantage of the fact that talks between the Italian and English clubs are still underway to entice the Atlas Lion to their side.
Al Ahli also think that Amrabat’s signing will bring extra strength and assist the club to contend for the Saudi Pro League with Al Hilal and Al-Nassr after securing the signatures of Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy, and Allan Saint-Maximin.
In 2019, Amrabat joined Hellas Verona from Brugge, and since then, he has established a reputation as one of the top midfielders in Serie A.
He initially joined on loan before becoming a regular member. After impressing with Verona, he joined Fiorentina playing a key role in the Italian club’s run to the Europa Conference League and the Coppa Italia final last season.
Amrabat also showed his talent on the world stage at the 2022 World Cup, playing a key role in Morocco’s run to the semi-finals.
