Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has added another prestigious award to his trophy cabinet, being named as the Men’s Player of the Year in Napoli for the year 2023, scoring his seventh goal of the season to celebrate the day.
It comes few days after the Nigerian international was crowned as the African Footballer of the Year in a ceremony held in Morocco.
The 24-year-old received the honour on Saturday ahead of Napoli’s league game against Cagliari, with the Nigerian scoring in their 2-1 win.
Osimhen’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, as he had earlier been named as the Italian Serie A player of the year award.
The forward had a remarkable season with the Serie A club last season, scoring 20 goals and providing 5 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
