Angolans will cast their vote in their general elections on Wednesday, August 24 to determine whether or not the incumbent president will be given the mandate again.
The current President, João Lourenço is runthe ning on the ticket of MPLA party with other eight candidates eyeing the top job.
The main contendaer comes is Adalberto Costa Júnior, the leader of Angola’s largest opposition party Unita.
Election analysts are predicting that the MPLA party which has been in office since independence in 1975 will maintain power, whiles many others feel that this will be the country’s closest election in the history of Angola’s election.
