Tema-based B5 Plus Limited, a leading steel company in Ghana, emerged as the manufacturing steel company of the year at this year’s Ghana-West Africa Business Excellence Award 2024, in a colorful ceremony held in Accra.
This accolade comes just a month after the company and its CEO picked up multiple awards for the year 2024, cementing its position as a leader in Ghana’s industrial and business landscape.
The Ghana – West Africa Business Excellence Awards, endorsed by the West Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Strategic Accountancy Africa, provides a platform to recognise individuals and companies that contribute significantly to the development of various sectors.
In its 7th edition, organised by KN Unique Communications, the awards recognise outstanding companies and individuals from various business sectors in Ghana and other countries of West Africa.
It sets a benchmark for excellence whilst rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible. The Awards recognise excellence in industries, sectors and individual/personality excellence.
The year 2024 has so far been a remarkable display of excellence for B5 Plus as it has bagged multiple recognitions in the first half of the year.
In April, the company also emerged as the winner of this year’s Ghana Business League Award as the Business Leader of the Year (Iron and Steel Manufacturing), while its Chairman, Mr Mukesh Thakwani, won the Best Freight Forwarders under Industrial and Manufactured Products (iron and steel manufacturing and distribution) at the Ghana Freight Forwarders and Logistics Awards.
Prior to that, in March, Mukesh Thakwani had won the Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Award 2024 as the Greatest Entrepreneur of All Time.
